I was in high-school in the late 1990′s; when raves were really popular. I still like electronic music today. It died down for a while I think, but now there are a lot of new artists with awesome music surfacing lately. It’s funny; back in the 90′s we have a classification for every artist or song; jungle, trance, house, breakbeats, stuff like that. We’d spend time arguing the correct classification sometimes, but it ws pretty easy to group artists into a certain sound. A lot of the artists today are breaking out of the “sub-genres”. Jack Beats End Of Love seems to do this within the song rather than the album; it sounds like trance and Dubstep all in the same song at times. I had a listen to some of Jack Beats other works and found much of the same; kind of an amalgamation of styles. I hope this continues; it’s enjoyable to listen to everything a musician has to say rather than just what they perceive will sell well.
If you’ve been looking around online for cheap beat-making software, I bet you’ve run across two programs. Dubturbo Beat Maker and Sonic Producer. These are probably the most popular programs for making beats that are also pretty cheap. We’re talking like under $40 each. Compare that to the more expensive, several hundred dollar professional suites, and you can see why they are so attractive to those who are just dipping their toes into the beat-making world. So, which one would I recommend?
Between DubTurbo and Sonic Producer, I gotta go with DubTurbo for a few reasons. Number 1, it lets you make music in the .wav format instead of just .mp3 like Sonic Producer. That gives you higher quality tracks. Also, the sequencer is larger, 16 tracks to be specific, so you can creat more complex and full sounds on it. And lastly, the user interface is much more intuitive and easier to use.
My uncle Martin is giving Mike drum lessons. Of course he is in his late fifties now, but he used to play the drums in a fairly successful rock band and then he began a session musician in Nashville for a couple of years before he moved back here to marry Susanne. Of course Mike’s drums are out in the barn and I put up some soundproofing sheets or panels so that the neighbors will not complain. I would not have agreed to that present if it meant that I would have to live in the same house with them. Mike is sort of compulsive, or obessive when it comes to stuff like this. We all know that he will probably practice as much as it takes to become a pretty good drummer. His uncle Martin says that he is already a pretty good drummer and that he really pays attention to the things he is being taught.
There are a bunch of Ukulele Brands that are popular because of their price and quality. Some of the names of ukuleles that are making a mark in the musical hobby scene are Kala, Ohana, Lanikai, KoAloha and Oscar Schmidt ukuleles.
Ukulele brands have different personalities in the market that people consider when buying. Kala is one of those newer ukuleles that has become a common choice of people who are getting seriously inclined to ukulele playing but want to keep within the budget. Koaloha is another brand that just came to be known in the 90s and is used by some famous ukulele performers. Ohana, on the other hand, is the name for some of the low-priced ukuleles of solid wood. Lanikai is under Hohner company of music and is laminated and China made which has started in the low-end level but is starting to crawl up the higher end level.
The ultimate in classic rock bands to me will forever be Pink Floyd. Not only do they influence the music I play with my band today, they influenced me growing up. They taught me to think for myself, to question authority that needs questioning and did it all to catchy tunes that used to aggravate the parental figures. Their music video for Brick in the wall was revolutionary for something to be seen on MTV. Do you remember seeing those scissors for the first time? It was amazing and the outrage delicious. They are in my opinion the ultimate classic rock band, because their music is the ultimate rock music. They influenced so many other bands with their style that eventually gave birth to other music genres. What more can a band hope to accomplish? If we can be even half way as good as Pink Floyd, then I have achieved my life’s goal.

How Well Has the Fender Acoustic Guitar and Its Electric Cousins Sold over the Years?
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Music
The Fender name has lasted through decades since the 1950′s and its name and the names of those who use the famous guitars have made them successful to this day. I was in the market for a Fender Acoustic Guitar and I always wondered what the price in exact dollar amounts were. So I looked it up since I wanted one myself. I first wanted to know how old they were when they hit the first million sales of the guitar. In 1994, the estimates coming from Fender itself put the sales at between a half-million to a million in sales on their 40th anniversary that year. Can you imagine a guitar production company making it to 40 years? I found that astounding and wondered what the most famous and best-selling was. Hands down the Stratocaster sold the best and has been used most by famous rockers. It has also been reinvented the most out of the acoustic collection.
Owing its emphasis to rhythm, funk music does not always have complex lyrics to it. Often it does not have many lyrics at all.
The subject of songs tends to be more light hearted and fun orientated than its cousin soul music. In a song about dancing the lyrics may urge the listener to dance in different ways. It might ask the listener to “dance to the music” or “move your feet” or “get down with the beat”.
Sometimes there may only be several lines in a funk song, and those same lyrics will be repeated again and again. They may not even sing them in a different way but sometimes they will.
It is usually the rhythm of the instruments that changes. The groove may work the different instruments and give emphasis to each instrument at different times. It is not uncommon for some of the best funk songs to be instrumentals and not have any lyrics at all.
You will see in my Learn And Master Piano review just why I think this program is the best, bar none for learning to play piano. The course itself has one of the best possible instructors, Will Barrow. He is a Grammy Winning piano player in his own right, but he is equally as skilled as a teacher in my opinion. He has a very relaxed and soothing tone to him where you really feel at ease. This course comes with a staggering amount of learning materials which might seem daunting to you at first glance. However, if you just take it slow and go at your own pace then you should have no problem following through with it. It also includes a really helpful support site where fellow students can chat and ask questions. It is also a great place to get help from the actual instructors so you are never really totally on your own.
If you’re DJing on a budget, finding cheap dj headphones that still offer the quality you need can be a real challenge. Sure, there are a lot of inexpensive options out there, but you don’t want to sacrifice the quality that you deserve just because you can’t afford premium quality. We’ve figured out a few solutions to this problem, and we’re passing our knowledge on to you.
Koss Full-Size: Koss has put together an excellent set of headphones; these have a 30Hz to 20,000Hz range which means that they encompass almost the full-range of human hearing.
Cortex CHP-2500: Cortex labels these as professional headphones; weighing only half a pound, they’re super light as well.
JVC HAX580: These are the least expensive on the list, though the 40mm drivers are surprisingly large for the size of these.
Skullcandy SCS-SCBP Skullcrushers: Surprisingly inexpensive, these headphones have great ratings, and look fantastic. Great bass too.

When you are just starting out as an aspiring guitarist and the guitar hasn’t really captured your imagination yet, it can be really difficult to even think of the amount of money that you are willing to spend on a good guitar lesson. Who can say for sure that they will want to dedicate themselves to the God of all guitars, especially when they are just starting out. I do not know most people but I am certainly not willing to put down any amount larger than $10 for a lesson. On the other hand, my father hated the idea of skimping all you can when learning a new skill. I bought a cheap acoustic guitar and he sent me to a great guitar instructor. Of course, when my idealist father began to feel the pinch of the $60 per hour lesson, he knew that things had to change, one way or another, before his money runs out.

Think of all the many ways you can create your own beats. How many are there? Can you create your own beats without a quality beat maker? I recently read an article about Yiruma and how he decided to leave most of his musical pursuits behind in favor of the South Korean navy. How could he do something like that? Yiruma is widely regarded as one of the best contemporary pianists in the world (if not the best), and although his style of playing the piano was heavily influenced by living in Great Britan (he lived there since he was five), he can’t do it to us. He can’t simply stop composing music to do something as trivial as joining the South Korean navy, or can he?
I have heard from several sources that he’s just taking some time off. He’s very young and has a lot of time left to compose more of his music. I just hope that he will continue playing the piano because there are songs composed by Yiruma which just make me really happy to listen to (and even learn to play on the piano).
I’d have to say this is one of the best Christmases I’ve ever had in terms of gifts. I know the holidays aren’t about the presents, but let’s face it sometimes you get some gifts that just make your eyes roll. I’m in the habit of getting all sorts of things that I never end up using or socks and underwear in my stockings. But this year my family went above and beyond my expectations and they purchased me a brand new karaoke machine. I’ve always been a casual fan of karaoke and it’s not uncommon to find me in a local bar singing a tune and every month or so. My family knew that I’d like this hobby so they went out and bought a top of the line karaoke machine to surprise me for the holidays. I can tell you I was pleasantly shocked when I opened up the package and saw a great karaoke machine right in front of me. I decided to plug it in right away and my whole family got into a great session of Christmas karaoke that lasted for hours.
Now that I have my own karaoke system I plan to entertain on a regular basis. I like going out to bars and a meeting my friends there but there are also a lot of hassles related to going to a karaoke bar or room. Now with my own machine I am going to dedicate my time to coming up with the perfect setup so I can accommodate a large group of people. I want to turn my living room into a singing destination that all of my friends will be dying to come to. It probably won’t be easy and I will still have to spend a bit of money, but when I am done I plan to have a truly immersive karaoke room so that I can have a full-fledged Christmas karaoke party by this time next year. A good resource for karaoke machines can be found here: http://karaokemachineguide.com/.
Denver concerts have been vamped up a little bit with the introduction of a new promotional company, David B Productions. Although small, David B Productions is growing quickly and steadily and they appear to really be plugged into the heart and soul of vintage rock and roll in Colorado and they present each show with as much flair and class as the previous. I am particularly interested in and impressed by the companies VIP program. In each and every show they are arranging for fans to show up early so that they can watch the band sound check and then hang out with the band for a while before the show. This is a really cool experience and fans are eating it up. I think as this company grows we can look forward to seeing great things from them and I see them becoming a brand synonymous with rock and roll in Colorado.
Playing guitar is one of the most pleasing activities to try out. You might struggle at first but with the help of a guitar teacher or a course like jamorama you can make some quick progress.
The first thing to think about is what type of guitar you want to play. If you like rock music then getting an electric guitar will probably be best. If you have to worry about not making too much noise then an acoustic could be right for you.
As you begin you might be tempted to just try to play along with your most loved songs. This can be good practice but make sure that you also learn the theory and work on the guitar scales. They might be a little bit boring to work on but they will set you up for success later on. If you want to write songs and become really good then understanding music theory and chords will be very helpful to you.
